Cetearyl Olivate is the ester of cetearyl alcohol and olive oil fatty acids, functioning as a nonionic emulsifier and skin-conditioning agent. The CIR Expert Panel assessed it as safe qualified (SQ), meaning it is safe when formulated to be non-irritating.
